The 4 Integrated Tools:
Backbone of the System
As you begin listening to session one, the 4 integrated tools offer you only one functional element: text entries.
However with each new session, a new element is added to at least one of the tools. These elements are designed to help you focus on key strategic issues considered in that particular session.
This allows you to create:
1) a cohesive vision of what constitutes your unique and optimal expression of power, and
2) the integrated and sustainable strategies you need to continue on your pathway to mastery.
By the time you complete your first pass through the 25 sessions, the 4 tools become a kind of rudder, helping you stay on the pathway to mastery that you yourself have designed.
The Tools as
Mentor
While the 25 sessions act as a mentor when you begin working with this App, it is the habit of interacting with the integrated tools that carries you forward as your mentor.
Specifically, the tools:
– remind you of the specific actions to continue taking
– help you evaluate new strategic opportunities: do they flow from the foundations of your power?
– are quickly accessible and useful to work with even for a few moments
– direct your focus to strategic, power-related issues
– remind you to focus on, and take note of other people’s behavior
– help you prioritize what powerful skills and perspectives you should focus on developing
The
Strategy Tool
Mastery requires continually taking wise action to enhance your true power. Throughout the 25 sessions, you will be continually encouraged to design specific, doable actions and execute them with skill.
Some action categories are predefined to correspond to the session you have just listened to and have embedded help within them. However you can always enter your own actions at any time.
Although over time the combination of actions may constitute a “grand strategy”, what is critical during this foundation-building stage is to find the actions that you can maintain over time: these will keep you “in the game”, giving your brain the layers of reinforcement it needs to make sure your new behaviors stick.
The
Persona Tool
A “persona” is one’s public image, not the total representation of one’s inner self.
It’s how others perceive you.
In the persona tool you will begin to note those aspects of your public image that it would be wise to emphasize and those that you should seek to mute.
So within this tool you will capture your own, unique vision of your Power Persona: the most powerful way you can be perceived by others.
The
Dossier Tool
This tool helps you make power-related assessments of those around you.
In Foundations the primary relationship to focus on is the one with your master: your direct supervisor. Getting this relationship right can easily have the biggest impact on your power.
However, since the strongest reaction to your increased power (once it is noticed) may be from your circle of colleagues, you are also encouraged to make assessments of them as well.
NEW! We have just added 5 new bonus sessions (26-30) which focus exclusively on the relationship that you have with your coworkers and how to maximize the power that you gain through each! These same 5 sessions will be available in the new, FREE Sampler App.
The
Reflector Tool
As you proceed through the 25 sessions you are often asked to evaluate yourself against the many key powerful skills and qualities that we review within the sessions. You do this within the Reflector tool.
Over time, these self-assessments provide you with a snapshot of where you are currently on your journey to mastery.
